Q: Why R4I GOLD PLUS could not be recognised by my console after connecting R4i to computer via Firmware Writer ?

A: The Firmware writer is for updating the R4i Gold Plus card ONLY. If you have not copied Firmware update patch or have copied the wrong update patch to the microSD card when doing firmware update. You may BRICK the card. Common Error: Insert the MicroSD card into R4i Gold Plus card, connect R4i card and firmware writer to USB port of computer, the computer will detect the kernel with a blue light flash and enters into firmware burning program, however, system could not find the right firmware patch and it freezes at that stage, if you take them out, it will damage your r4i card and fails in reading now.

To avoid the above problem, please READ our FLASH Card Guide carefully. Please use the USB MicroSD card reader to transfer the setup files and games onto the MicroSD card.
